Cecilia, you also expressed the dualistic problems this subject contains. It is a choice between personal freedom and the benefits of being protected. But being monitored because somebody doesn’t rely on you to do your best is quite upsetting. I think you show a moral courage when you draw a line between your personal life and working life. Just recently I was listening to a researcher who said exactly the same as you did about the benefits of having access to the Internet at work. According to him it was a positive thing to use the Internet as a reward accomplishing a task. The person in question became more relaxed and positive to his next assignment.
